We just learned that Alexandria’s opponent in the Democratic primary election — an ex-Wall Street investment banker who doesn’t even live in her district — has already spent $225,000 of his own money to get onto the ballot.
Our challenger may continue self-funding 98% of his own campaign to protect the status quo. Or he may simply reach out for help from AIPAC or any of the special interests pouring hundreds of millions into this election to unseat progressives.
Our primary election is in just two months. Many progressives have been defeated in the last few years because they were heavily outspent.
We can’t let that happen to Alexandria.
