Hi there, John. It’s Gaetan from Team King here, and I want to share a story with you about Angus.
A few years back, Angus’ flight back home from D.C. was canceled; it was one of those awful summer thunderstorms that ground airplanes all up and down the East Coast. Instead of rescheduling another flight and waiting it out, Angus looked around at the frustrated crowd at the gate and decided to be spontaneous. He hitched a ride with two software engineers, a college professor, and a lawyer — four complete strangers. Together, the five of them rented a car and set out on a good old-fashioned road trip. Over the course of the next 10 hours, they got to know each other, argued over what kind of music to listen to, and bonded over their love for Maine.

That’s the thing about Angus — he has a genuine curiosity about people from all walks of life, a gift for listening, and a whole lot of love for the world around him.
Those qualities are what make him the dedicated leader that he is. Those qualities inspire him to walk into his Senate office every morning to meet new people and listen to their stories. Those qualities inform the impassioned speeches he gives on the Senate floor, the bridge-building conversations he has behind closed doors, and the way he consistently delivers for his constituents.
John, Angus is up for re-election this November which means we have the opportunity to send him back to the Senate to fight for us for another term of common-sense policies (and road trips). Will you donate $10, $25, or any amount today?
Here at Team King HQ, we might be biased, but we think Angus is truly one-of-a-kind (I mean, have you heard of any other senators road-tripping with a car full of strangers?!). We can’t afford to lose his voice in the Senate.
Sincerely,
Gaetan
