John, as the threat of regional war in the Middle East grows, Bernie sharpened focus on what’s been going on in Gaza for six months. Bernie said, “In the midst of growing Middle East tension, we cannot ignore for a moment Netanyahu’s horrific war against the Palestinian people.”
Speaker Johnson and the U.S. House might just ignore the bombing campaign in Gaza and vote this Friday to send billions more in weapons and unconditional aid to Israel. This could embolden Netanyahu’s government to retaliate against Iran (which could lead to a full-blown regional war involving the United States) AND continue its unrelenting violence against the Palestinian people.
Add your name: Congress must vote NO on more offensive weapons and more unconditional aid for Israel!
We continue to be clear, along with Bernie: Not another nickel to support Netanyahu’s wars and atrocities.
In international law, there’s a right to self-defense — which is why the United States helped Israel quell the drone and missile attack from Iran last weekend. But there is no right to retaliation — and we know if Israel retaliates, as it has vowed to do, against Iran, it will likely launch the region, and the United States, into a larger war. Now is the time for diplomacy over all else.
Any escalation in this war from Iran, Israel, or anyone else would be devastating. And Congress voting to send weapons and unconditional aid to Israel right now would only heighten the threat of a larger war AND continued violence against the Palestinian people.
Stand with Bernie: No more offensive weapons and not another nickel to support Israel’s war on Gaza. The U.S. House must vote no on Friday.
When we organize, we win.
