Trump is making history again this week – but not in a good way. He is the first former President to stand trial for a criminal case.

Let’s be clear, while the details may be salacious, this criminal trial is about election interference. This will further expose who he really is – a threat to our democracy.

As the pressure ratchets up on the Republican Party's favorite third-rate dictator, their efforts to distract the public will only increase. I’ve impeached Trump twice now and have fought against him my whole career. I’ve known for years that he is a fraud and a liar.

Trump and the extremist Republicans that support him do not deserve to be in office. For the sake of the future of our country, we must do everything in our power to ensure that Trump and his extremist Republican allies are not in the halls of power.
