Breaking: Voter ID requirements might be on the ballot in Nevada
Have you heard about this? Probably not – and that’s exactly what the extremist Republican groups behind it want, because they know what they’re doing is shady.
Extremist conservative voter suppression advocates are collecting signatures as we speak, hoping to get a deceptive voter ID question on the ballot in Nevada. If they succeed, Nevada will have some of the strictest Voter ID laws in the nation – specifically targeting and suppressing votes from young, Black, and Hispanic communities.
We need legislation that protects voters from all demographics and prevents unjust voter ID laws. Sign on now if you agree. >>
Thankfully, Senator Jon Ossoff (D-Georgia) just introduced the Right To Vote Act, which would enshrine fundamental right to vote into law.
Ossoff’s legislation, if passed, would establish a statutory right to vote in Federal elections and protect every eligible voter from laws that make it harder to cast a ballot ― including voter ID laws pushed by partisan schemers.
The Right to Vote Act is a critical piece of legislation: Congress must pass it now to protect the right to vote. Sign the petition today and call for this bill’s passage! >>
