Dear Texas is Ready Community,
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newest resource, the School
District Adolescent Sexual Health Fact Sheet.! This tool provides an
overview of the landscape of adolescent sexual health at the school
district level. Schools and communities are encouraged to use the
information on their respective one-pagers to identify areas of concern,
spark thought-partnership around ways to improve adolescent health at both
the community and school district levels, and ultimately work together to
support access to health education and resources.
WHAT DOES THE SCHOOL DISTRICT ADOLESCENT SEXUAL HEALTH FACT SHEET
INCLUDE?
* - School District Snapshot
- Pregnancy and Teen Birth Data
- School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) Compliance
- Sexual Health Education Curricula by Grade Levels
- and more!
Whether you are a district/school administrator, teacher, parent,
youth-serving professional, and/or general community member, the School
District Adolescent Health Fact Sheet can be used to inform, educate, and
empower adolescent health champions like yourself to bring positive change
to Texas students and families.
We firmly believe that this new resource, in conjunction with our
collaborative endeavors, has the potential to revolutionize the landscape
of adolescent health and well-being in Texas schools. Through our united
efforts, we can cultivate environments that foster the growth and
empowerment of our youth, enabling them to flourish and realize their
utmost potential.
Your ongoing support is invaluable to us, and we eagerly anticipate
furthering our partnership to cultivate a healthier, safer Texas for our
students.
Sincerely,
The Texas is Ready Team
