John,

We wanted to share a small bright spot in the uncertainty of today’s world. This week, we honored the contributions and sacrifices of transgender people. We recognized those we’ve lost, and celebrated those who are on the frontlines fighting for the vulnerable.

And we’re happy to say so did members of Congress, in a big way! Eighty-four congressional leaders from Texas to Kansas to Florida and all over the country proudly participated in Transgender Week of Visibility, voicing their support on social media and flying the trans flag outside of their offices. Plus, thousands more of you, our incredible supporters, shared support across the world by using the hashtag #TDOV and posting the trans flag on your profile.

We were proud to lead the effort to bring this critical visibility to our community, and are glad to say we had such enormous participation despite congressional offices being closed and the need for social distancing. This goes to show that we can still come together even when we must be apart.

Thank you for your continued support. We promise we will continue to fight on behalf of transgender people everywhere. It is just too important not to.

If you can, please consider making a contribution today to support our ongoing efforts. We can’t do what we do without you.

In Solidarity,

Mara Keisling
