Hi John –
I learned a very valuable lesson from a young age: we are stronger together.
My parents taught me that the great social justice movements weren’t about one person single-handedly moving the wheels of history, but about how if enough of us join together, small actions can have large consequences.
In other words, I know real progress is made when you engage individuals and activate our movement. Together, we can do so much more than we could ever do alone. Our strength is not in our individuality, but in our community.
A great example of that is how we resource and fund our movement. We lean on each other and chip in what we can when we can. When we sum all that up, it is far greater than what any single person could ever give to our movement, and it moves the needle toward progress.
So, we have a deadline at midnight tonight, and I hope you will chip in whatever you can. Your contribution is a vote of confidence in our movement and proof that grassroots power is just that – powerful.
Gratefully,
Stacey Abrams
