North Carolina's First Congressional District is a battleground! So, if you missed my previous email, here's a quick rundown:

State lawmakers have redrawn the district maps, making this the only competitive race in North Carolina. Now, experts say I am one of the most vulnerable Democrats in the United States House, as The Cook Political Report has rated this race a "toss-up," and the outcome could determine who controls the House.

Given the narrow vote margin, it's no surprise that several special interest groups are planning to spend millions to try and flip this seat, but we are determined not to let that happen.

Therefore, I must ask you again: Would you be willing to pitch in $5, $20, or more to keep this seat for eastern North Carolina families? With your help, we can continue fighting and ensure our voices are heard in Washington, D.C.
