Israel's successful defense doesn't excuse Iran from the consequences of its unprecedented attack‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Friends,

Last week, the Iranian regime made an unprecedented decision to launch more than 300 missiles and drones to directly attack Israel. Thankfully, Israel, the United States, the U.K., and even our regional partners, including Saudi Arabia and Jordan, intercepted 99% of the missiles preventing a catastrophic loss of life.

It’s no surprise that North Carolina was once again at the tip of the spear, as the 335th Fighter Squadron from Seymour Johnson played a key role in downing the Iranian missiles.

I unequivocally support Israel’s right to defend itself, and just because its defensive actions were successful does not excuse the terrorist Iranian regime for its attack. In fact, the worst message to send right now is to not respond, since the ayatollahs will continue their trend of belligerence.

With Israel facing existential threats from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, America must continue to support Israel. I am fully supportive of sending more military aid to Israel and will continue to push Congressional leaders to cast partisanship aside to get it done without delay.

Sincerely,
