Breaking news: The Senate State and Local Government and Veterans Committee advanced the Ranked Choice Voting Local Option bill this morning, moving the bill on in the legislative process! 

The bill, carried by Rep. Frazier and Sen. Morrison, provides local control and levels the playing field for all local jurisdictions — cities, counties, and school districts — to adopt RCV if they wish. It also provides election standards for consistent implementation of RCV across Minnesota and allows state certification of RCV voting equipment and tabulation systems, which would expedite election results.

What: House Elections Policy and Finance Committee hearing on Elections Finance Omnibus bill (HF 4411)  

When: Wednesday, April 17, 8:30am – arrive 30 minutes early to reserve a seat and get a photo with other supporters!

Where: Room 200, State Office Building (100 Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, St Paul, MN 55155). Note, you can park in the old Sears parking lot (425 Rice St, St Paul, MN 55103), or at paid or street parking nearby.
