It’s hard to believe that we have a candidate for Governor of Washington
who is against marriage equality in 2024, but it’s true. 

My Republican opponent Dave Reichert recently told MAGA supporters behind
closed doors: “There’s only man and woman…marriage is between a man and a

I
personally argued the Arlene’s Flowers case before the Washington State
Supreme Court after a flower shop owner refused to sell flowers to a
same-sex couple for their wedding. We won the case in a 9-0 decision,
guaranteeing same-sex couples the same rights as opposite-sex couples in
the marketplace.

It’s not complicated or controversial. Washingtonians, and people all
across the nation, should be able to marry the person they love.

One thing is becoming increasingly clear — Congressman Reichert is no
moderate and his values are inconsistent with those of most
Washingtonians.
