============================

We have a BIG announcement John: an anonymous donor has kindly offered to MATCH every donation made as part of our Care Giving Day challenge up to $10,000!

This means every generous donation you make to show your appreciation to domestic workers will be DOUBLED – doubling your impact, and doubling the outpouring of love and support this Care Workers Recognition Month.

But, we can only get access to these additional funds for care workers if supporters like you join in and make a donation. John, this is the perfect moment to help us hit our $10,000 Care Giving Day Goal. Donate now, and make a gift that has twice the impact!

The timing of this generous match could not be more significant. Last year, the Biden-Harris Administration declared April as Care Workers Recognition Month for the first time, and reconfirmed its commitment to care workers again this year: public recognition from the White House for women too often invisibilized and undervalued.

The reality for domestic workers is stark: most are still underpaid, without benefits or time off, struggling to support their own families. That’s why we are going all out this year:

** Standing up for better care and better jobs: mobilizing advocates from the grassroots up, uplifting care work and workers in the media, and collaborating with movement partners all to put pressure on lawmakers to support the Better Care Better Jobs Act to help improve the quality of care jobs while ensuring affordable, accessible care for all.

** Telling Congress to Fix the Childcare Crisis: tirelessly advocating and agitating Senators to invest in childcare as they debate emergency funding and annual spending bills.

** Fighting for better pay for care workers: ensuring the ~$37 billion in Home and Community Based Services funding generated through investments in the American Rescue Plan Act translates into permanent wage increases for care workers.

This is not an easy fight nor a short one, and to help keep up this work we need to reach our $10,000 Care Giving Day Goal.

The match announced today means your donation is DOUBLED! So, John, can you step up and donate to help us hit this $10,000 goal?
