John,
BREAKING NEWS: We just filed a petition for an early appeal hearing at Pakistan's High Court to free Shahzad Masih, a Christian on death row for his faith.
This young Christian was just 16 years old when he was accused and arrested for blasphemy.
Shahzad was sentenced to death by hanging after a radical Muslim group manufactured the charges against him and pressured the judge into having him executed.
But Shahzad is not an isolated case. Christians in Pakistan face unimaginable atrocities for their faith, and the judicial system often ignores the facts and the law, instead caving to angry Muslim mobs.
Shahzad has now languished in prison for over 2,470 days. JUST HOURS AGO, our legal team on the ground in Pakistan filed an emergency petition for an early hearing. The U.N. just agreed with us, ruling that Shahzad should be "immediately released."
Shahzad is suffering the ultimate human rights violation, and we will fight his case all the way to Pakistan's Supreme Court – where we have successfully helped free Christians on death row before.
But we have a major problem. This massive global legal effort for the persecuted Church requires immense resources. We urgently need your Tax-Deductible support today. Have your gift DOUBLED through our Life & Liberty Drive.
Have Your Gift Doubled To Defend Dying Christians.
It will take each of us to defend these persecuted Christians. Take action with us before it is too late for Shahzad.
