John,
Seven years ago, Amazon unveiled their new cashier-less, checkout-less, fully-automated grocery stores.
Walk in. Grab your things. Walk out. And an array of cameras and sensors would automatically detect your items and bill you remotely.
Amazing, right? Another groundbreaking innovation from the great, benevolent company Amazon!
As it turns out, according to a new report, these “autonomous” stores actually relied on more than 1,000 workers in India watching and labeling videos to make sure the checkouts were properly handled.1
They didn’t actually remove the need for cashiers and other employees. Amazon simply decided that instead of paying the already-non-livable minimum wages for U.S. workers, they could fire the people who would have been operating the store, outsource the labor, all to boost their profit margins.
Now more than ever, Amazon workers need a union. They deserve better pay, better protections, better benefits, and better working conditions.
So please add your name to our petition today, and demand that Amazon finally meet with Amazon workers in good faith at the bargaining table.

Amazon workers have been fighting tooth and nail to have their union recognized for years.
In 2022, workers at a Staten Island warehouse became the first unionized Amazon employees in the United States.
But ever since, they have faced an all-out onslaught of union-busting, frivolous legal challenges, and heavily-funded smear campaigns. In the first year alone, Amazon spent more than $14 million dollars to try and break their organizing efforts.2
Their reasoning is quite simple: a strong union with a strong collective bargaining agreement could prevent Amazon from doing things like replacing cashiers with fake-AI vendors overseas.
A strong union would ensure broader protections for the over one million people employed by Amazon in the U.S.
A strong union would be a benchmark victory for the workers rights movement. If the 2nd largest company in America can be unionized, then any company can be unionized. And Jeff Bezos’ friends would be really upset about that.
That’s the future we’re fighting for, John. And we need you to lock arms with us in order to win.
