Hey there — I wanted to take a moment to reach out to you personally this morning.
This time last week, we’d just gotten word that the Arizona Supreme Court upheld a 160-year-old, near-total ban on abortion, putting the lives of MILLIONS of Arizonans at stake.
When the news dropped last Tuesday, we had to mount a response quickly, and if we didn’t already have a large base of monthly contributions to lean on, we would’ve easily fallen short and wouldn’t be where we are right now.
Over the last week, this strong grassroots team made it possible for us to meet this moment with the urgency it deserved. This team took off, generating headlines and activating volunteers from Flagstaff to Mesa, and even capped off our week with a visit from Vice President Kamala Harris in Tucson.
“Arizonans are ready to vote out the archaic 1864 ban pushed by Donald Trump and Arizona Republicans, and to re-elect President Biden and Vice President Harris,” said Arizona Democratic Party Chairwoman Yolanda Bejarano. “As Republicans scramble to lie about their records, the Biden-Harris administration is doing everything in their power to fight back against this attack on our freedom. Voters will remember that Vice President Harris has repeatedly shown up for us– supporting local leaders, mobilizing voters across the state, and calling out Republicans extremism in the face of this horrific ban.”

When we wake up on November 6th, we’ll live in an Arizona where abortion is fully protected. We’ll look back and be grateful for the work we put in today and over the next seven months to connect with pro-choice voters across the state.
So here’s what I’m asking today: Will you consider joining our base of recurring donors by starting a monthly grassroots gift?
It doesn’t take much to help out each month. On average, folks are pitching in around $17 each month to power our work.
I’m endlessly grateful we have such a strong team that has what it takes to help us overcome every challenge. Thanks for stepping up.
