Dear John,

Maine is in the midst of a PFAS crisis. We need bold policies to protect the environment and cultivate healthy communities. Toxic PFAS (Per- and Polyfluorinated Substances) are contaminating the environment and threatening public health—especially the most vulnerable Mainers.

Through the partnership of Maine Conservation Voters (MCV) and the Environmental Priorities Coalition, we passed a bill to require manufacturers to disclose the use of PFAS in their products and ban all non-essential uses of PFAS by 2030. This bill continues to be challenged by corporate interests.

We need your support to keep harmful PFAS out of our communities. Will you consider a gift to support MCV’s advocacy efforts in the State House?

Industry is trying to weaken Maine’s PFAS products ban, threatening the progress we have made to phase these highly toxic chemicals out of our food, drinks, and products.

We need Maine to shift away from toxic PFAS. This, among so many other critical environmental and climate priorities, can happen through the work of collective advocacy and partnerships. Your support today will help ensure that it does! [[link removed]]

We can't keep up this fight without your support and generosity. Can we count on your support today?

Thank you for all that you do for Maine and our communities.

With gratitude,
Sarah Woodbury
