As we celebrate Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Heritage Month this April, we're filled with passion and purpose, ready to honor Middle Eastern and Northern African LGBTQ+ young people.

Today, we uplift important research from our 2023 U.S. National Survey ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) that illuminates the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth of Middle Eastern and North African descent. This research shows that more than one in five (21%) MENA LGBTQ+ young people reported a suicide attempt in the past year.

This finding underscores the importance of advocating for the well-being of every LGBTQ+ young person while also recognizing the intersectionality of their cultural or ethnic identity.

But our work doesn't stop at research. We're working diligently every day, offering vital support and resources to LGBTQ+ young people in need. From our crisis intervention services ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) to our affirming spaces ([link removed](i.e.e-newsletter)&utm_source=emailsegment-wholefile1&utm_campaign=generaleffort) , we're dedicated to providing a lifeline for those who may feel isolated or marginalized.
