Take Action

As we face uncertainty, I wanted to take a moment to check in on
Defenders supporters.

Defenders of Wildlife

Dear Defender of
Wildlife,

Greetings! I write this email to you from my new "office" in
Washington, D.C. - a small guest room at home that will soon
transform into a nursery for our first baby - due this June!
Like many organizations and companies, Defenders of Wildlife has
transitioned to working from home for the safety of our staff and our
communities, but we continue "remotely defending" the
wildlife we all love. I hope you, your family and friends are staying
healthy and safe.

I wanted to take a moment to check in with supporters like you who
make up the Defenders community. We are experiencing something simply
unimaginable right now, surrounded by uncertainty, anxiety, and
confusion as we start each day in a world that is so unfamiliar to us.

Yet, through all the stresses and heartbreaking news of COVID-19, I'm
amazed and inspired by global efforts to support one another with
compassion and resilience. And for me, I've always found nature to be
healing. Being outdoors in any capacity - sitting on my porch or
strolling my neighborhood - helps keep me grounded during this
time of social distancing. I'm grateful that spring is just around the
corner.

While wildlife advocacy at Defenders may look different right now, I
hope you take comfort in the fact that it is still happening. Now more
than ever, we must urge the Trump administration to prioritize the
health of our communities and our environment over corporate handouts
and politics as usual, not push forth an anti-science agenda while
rolling back essential environmental laws like the Endangered Species
Act.

As opportunities to connect and advocate arise, I hope you will join
us in speaking up for wildlife. You can also stay engaged by visiting

Defenders will continue to be a voice for wildlife - we're not
backing down.

Thank you,
