Dear Faithful Friend,

Last August, during a time when many were focused on hurricane threats, unexpected wildfires ravaged Hawaii, leading to an unprecedented crisis. These fires were the deadliest in America in over a century, claiming over 100 lives and leaving entire communities like Lahaina struggling to survive and rebuild.

In response to this devastation, Catholic Charities sprang into action to provide critical support to more than 2,300 wildfire survivors. Teams established hubs in local hotels, coordinating relief efforts and assisted with immediate needs such as housing and counseling.

Thanks to the generosity of Catholic Charities USA supporters during our Hawaii relief campaign, we were able to distribute more than $2.1 million in disaster assistance funds, directly improving the lives of those affected by the wildfires.

As we continue to support the survivors and rebuild the communities affected by the Hawaii wildfires, we extend our thanks to everyone who has supported these efforts. It is through generosity that victims were moved from disaster to recovery.

Gratefully,

Will Flores
