Our friends at Climate Education 4 Illinois are working to pass a bill through the Illinois state legislature and could use help with advancing the bill and gaining support by the filing of witness slips. See the details below:
Climate Education Bill HB4895 will have its third and final reading (ie will be voted on) in the house today (4/16) at 10.30am! Please can you take 5 minutes to file a witness slip in support of this bill and forward this email within your network to ask them to also file witness slips. Here is how to do it:
1. Go to this LINK (https://my.ilga.gov/WitnessSlip/Create/152760?committeeHearingId=20937&LegislationId=152760&LegislationDocumentId=193571) *
2. Complete: Address/Email/Phone: Type your address, email, and phone number.
3. Write: "SELF" for Firm/Business or Agency.
4. TITLE is up to you. Write "self" , “student”, "job title" etc.
5. PERSONS/GROUPS REPRESENTED: Write "self"
6. Position: Click the “Proponent” box
7. Testimony: Click the “Record of Appearance Only”
8. Click Checkbox: “I Agree to the ILGA Terms of Agreement.”
9. Click the “Create Slip” button on the far right.
