For the last ten days, Governor Larry Hogan has been very busy traveling all over the state on the Back to Work Bus Tour. He’s met with first responders and law enforcement officers, small business owners, and Marylanders from all walks of life in every corner of the state.
One thing is crystal clear: Marylanders are sick and tired of politics-as-usual. They should be. Our politicians in Washington are choosing division and bickering over hard work and common sense. Governor Hogan is in this race to get back to work for the people.
Before you go, we wanted to take a minute to share some of the highlights from this amazing tour with dedicated grassroots supporters like you. Take a look below and see how Gov. Hogan connected with Marylanders over the last ten days to truly understand the issues that matter to them most.
Team Hogan
DAY ONE: Friday, April 5
Governor Hogan kicked off his 10-day Back to Work Bus Tour in Western Maryland, where he made eleven stops across Garrett, Allegany, and Washington counties. During his time in Western Maryland, Governor Hogan spoke with several local leaders, small business owners, and first responders across the region.
DAYS TWO AND THREE: Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7
Governor Hogan spent the weekend connecting with hundreds of voters in Frederick and Carroll counties. By the end of the weekend, the tour had already made nearly 30 stops across six counties.
DAY FOUR: Monday, April 8
Governor Hogan visited Twin Valley Distillers & Brewery Rockville, where he spent time with members of the Montgomery County Small Business Association.
DAY FIVE: Tuesday, April 9
Next, the Back to Work Bus made its way to Anne Arundel and Baltimore County. Governor Hogan met with voters in Glen Burnie for for lunch before walking the streets visiting visiting Baltimore businesses and residents in the afternoon.
DAY SIX: Wednesday, April 10
Governor Hogan started the day off in Prince George’s County, where he visited the Beltsville Volunteer Fire Department and thanked the volunteers for their dedicated service to their community. The governor then closed out the day in Charles County and met with more small business owners and voters.
DAY SEVEN: Thursday, April 11
Governor Hogan began the seventh day of his Back to Work Bus Tour in Calvert County. He met with members of the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department, County Sheriff Ricky Cox and his team, and finally ended the day in St. Mary’s County meeting with local businesses and residents in Leonardtown.
DAY EIGHT: Friday, April 12
The bus then made its way to Queen Anne’s, Caroline, and Talbot Counties. Among many other stops, Governor Hogan attended the Bay Bridge Boat Show, met with officers of the Caroline and Talbot County Sheriff’s Offices, and engaged with voters at several small businesses.
DAY NINE: Saturday, April 13
On the second to last day of the tour, Governor Hogan traveled to Kent County and historic downtown Chestertown before making his way to Cecil County and Harford County to end the day. Team Hogan visited the Chestertown farmer’s market and several small and family run businesses throughout the day, including the largest single family owned and operated horse breeding farm in the country, Winbak Farm.
DAY TEN: Sunday, April 14
On the tenth and final day of the Back to Work Bus Tour, Governor Hogan and the team kicked off the day in Howard County. Gov. Hogan traveled all around Ellicott City, walking down Main Street with voters, his good friend and former partner in government Lieutenant Governor Boyd K. Rutherford (and his dog, Obi-Wan), and several Korean-American business owners in Koreatown.
