Dear John,

We hope you and your loved ones are doing well. As many of us look for ways to support our communities, we hope you'll find some ideas and inspiration on AFSC's COVID-19 resource page.

You’ll find opportunities to take action as well as stories of how communities are stepping up in these challenging times—from providing food to seniors and children in West Virginia to  successfully urging elected officials to release incarcerated people in New Jersey to shining a light on conditions in Gaza.

Here are this week’s resources to help you stay informed and support your activism.

Coronavirus is spreading through U.S. prisons. I'm worried my dad might be affected: Government officials must work to protect incarcerated people during this pandemic, writes Kharon Benson. Take action: Protect people in prison, jails, and detention centers from COVID-19!

New Farm to Foodbank project connects local farmers to people in need during COVID-19: “Helping make the link between those who grow food and those who need it is a concrete, practical action we can take to help mitigate the fallout from COVID-19 and support and strengthen our communities,” says AFSC’s Sayrah Namaste.

What working for social justice looks like now: Communities across the U.S. are adapting to these changing times to ensure all people are cared for and protected, writes AFSC’s Jacob Flowers.

Victory! Microsoft divests from the Israeli occupation: After a campaign led by a coalition that included AFSC, Microsoft announced it would divest from AnyVision, the corporation whose technologies power Israel’s military surveillance of Palestinians in the West Bank.

Watch Elsa's story: This New Jersey activist and mother is working to save Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and protect the rights of immigrants across the U.S.

Register: No Way to Treat a Child webinar: Join us on April 7 to learn about the conditions faced by Palestinian children in Israeli prisons during this pandemic—and what you can do about it.

Resources for organizing your financial affairs: While staying home to help minimize health risks, many are also putting their affairs in order. If you are thinking about tackling this important task, AFSC can help. Visit our website to access a complimentary estate planning kit.

Be well and take care.
