Friend, our momentum continues! One of Washington’s largest labor Unions, IAM 751, just joined our team.
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, District 751, representing 33,000 workers, announced their sole endorsement of our campaign in this crowded, high-stakes race in WA-06. It’s clear: Washington working families want leaders who are accountable to regular PEOPLE, not big corporations that write the rules in their own favor. This endorsement from one of Washington's largest labor Unions is personal to me. My mom is a paraeducator at South Kitsap High School. My dad was a shipfitter at the Puget Sound Naval Yard. And my wife, Alison, is now an apprentice carpenter! From growing up in a Union household, I understand the life-changing power of a Union card and a Union contract. But the fight for dignity at work is ongoing. Last week, I joined educators on the picket line in Port Angeles who are striking to get a fair cost of living adjustment. Working people need someone who will have their back every day. In the State Senate, I’ve always gone to the mat for the labor movement — and with your help, I’ll do the same in Congress.
