In the midst of these unprecedented times, I continue to hear stories of Iowans pulling together to help their neighbors. People are sewing medical masks to donate to their local hospitals, soup kitchens are providing curb side meals to those in need and college students are creating face shields to ensure our medical professionals are safe. I hope you take the time to read these inspiring stories.

The shelf price of meat is at record highs. With the high rate of concentration in the meat packing industry, there are concerns that the difference in what we pay at the store and what packers pay farmers is the result of illegal practices. I'm committed to ensuring that our farmers aren't being short-changed during this critical time.
