A week ago, I emailed you about Florida’s new 6-week abortion ban that will go into effect in May. Millions more women in the United States will be denied access to abortion, and I warned you it could get worse.

Unfortunately it happened sooner than we ever could have expected. The Arizona Supreme Court has now instituted a near-total abortion ban. That’s another 3.5 million women right across California’s border who lost the right to control their own bodies.

John, we have to realize how serious this is. Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell’s plan to overturn Roe v. Wade worked. And this upcoming election may be our only chance to fix it.

If Democrats win this election, we will reinstate Roe v. Wade and protect a woman’s right to choose in every state in America. But if we lose, Republicans have been very clear about their plan: a national abortion ban. And that includes California.

I don’t say all this to be inflammatory, it’s just genuinely the truth. And we have to be honest about this.

I’m asking for your support because I’m on the frontlines of this fight in Congress, and my seat will decide which party controls the House in 2025. I see how bad this can get.
