Last month, France became the first country in the world to make abortion a constitutional right.
Britain has no constitution, but the UK Parliament could be just days away from approving a right to abortion, which is very similar.

Pro-abortion MP Diana Johnson has tabled an amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill which would make it legal for a woman or girl to ABORT HER UNBORN BABY FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER—RIGHT UP TO THE MOMENT OF BIRTH.
* The Johnson Amendment is the biggest legislative threat to unborn babies this century

* Only the 1967 Abortion Act, which radically expanded abortion in the UK, comes close.

This our 1967 moment

We are urgently mobilising branches and supporters throughout the UK.

Investment in online technology is proving a big advantage in this respect, for instance:
* Staging Zoom webinars which advise on how best to lobby MPs, including letter-writing tips and how to plan face-to-face visits with MPs at surgeries

* SPUC’s new online MP contact tool has been tremendously popular.

With just a few clicks, supporters can quickly identify their MP and then send an electronic message to him/her detailing the dangers of abortion decriminalisation and urging them to vote NO against the Amendment.

Thousands of people have already used the webtool, covering an amazing 86% of all MPs
