Colorado Republicans are taking a page straight from Donald Trump’s playbook.

During their annual conference this week, Colorado’s state GOP chair Dave Williams expelled a longtime journalist from attending and claimed her reporting was “very unfair.”

Sandra Fish has been a reporter since 1982 — but instead of letting her share the news with Coloradans, Republicans had her escorted out by a sheriff’s deputy.

We’ve seen this all before: If a journalist writes anything negative, Trump then claims “FAKE NEWS” and attacks them. Now, the Colorado GOP is doing the same.

That’s not how a democracy should function. Voters deserve to know what’s happening. We cannot let this go unchecked.
