Did you know:
People with old records face over 40,000 legal barriers that lock them out of eligibility for jobs, housing, voting, and more?

Dear Friend,
It's shocking. There are more than 40,000 legal barriers — many lifelong — that lock one in three Americans living with an old arrest or conviction record out of eligibility for jobs, housing, voting, and more.
The good news is that you can help eliminate these barriers for millions of Americans who deserve a second chance by supporting the TimeDone movement.
Most of these legal barriers have nothing to do with public safety and do far more harm than good. In fact, they can make it harder — not easier — to stay out of the cycle of crime.
When someone is denied a second chance to provide for themselves and their family, the entire community suffers.
If you believe that an old record shouldn’t bar you from jobs, housing and full participation in society, we need you to join the TimeDone movement with a gift today. And, because it’s Second Chances month, all gifts will be doubled now until April 30, making your gift twice as powerful.
Right now, we’re working on half a dozen policy proposals that would remove unnecessary post-conviction barriers for people with old records. And, TimeDone is working every day to:
 |
Organize people with old records to advocate for law changes
|
 |
Connect people with old records to vital resources like record clearance, job opportunities, mental health support, and more
|
 |
Challenge the stigma faced by people with old records
|
|
But we can’t do this without your support. Together, we can give millions of people a second chance. Will you join us?
Forward together,
Ingrid Archie
National Organizing Director, TimeDone

P.S. Make your gift go twice as far while advocating for an end to post-conviction poverty.
