If you are a Licensed Instructor, you could win FREE training equipment by sponsoring a high school

student’s application.

Training is at the heart of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign. Licensed STOP THE BLEED® instructors are the ones that make that heart beat. These scholarships are designed to draw attention to the critical role that STOP THE BLEED® instructors play in the growth of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign and the impact that they have.

In order to apply, a student must name a STOP THE BLEED® instructor sponsor, licensed by the Stop the Bleed Coalition, or someone who has made an application to become licensed and is eligible to be approved.

Additionally, students must write an essay or make a short video that tells the story of the work their STOP THE BLEED® instructor sponsor is doing and the impact they are making in their community.

To win a National Scholarship, students need to submit an essay or video and make the case:

How can STOP THE BLEED® Build Community?

Winning students will receive scholarship money towards post secondary education. The schools of the winning students will receive free STOP THE BLEED® Kits.

There will be two sets of National Scholarship winners:

The first set of scholarship winners will be chosen from video submission
The second set of scholarship winners will be chosen from essay submission

This means that the First, Second, and Third Place categories will each have two winners: one chosen from video submissions, and one chosen from essay submissions.

Becoming a STOP THE BLEED® instructor was a natural step for me, leveraging my background as an Army Reserve officer, EMT, and volunteer firefighter on the island of Crete. With a deep commitment to saving lives, I sought to equip myself with the skills to empower others in emergency situations. My diverse experience has underscored the critical importance of rapid and effective bleeding control techniques, motivating me to share this knowledge widely. As an instructor, I aim to arm individuals with the confidence and abilities to act decisively when every second counts, ultimately making a difference between life and death most of the times before professional help arrive.

Training is at the heart of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign and STOP THE BLEED® Instructors are the ones that make the heart beat! The Instructor Spotlight shines a bright light on individuals engaging their communities about STOP THE BLEED®.

Connect with the Stop the Bleed Coalition

The Coalition is a community of individuals and organizations who are passionate about the STOP THE BLEED® campaign. The Coalition’s goal is to support the growth and impact of the campaign by providing access to information and services to the growing STOP THE BLEED® community as well as financial support to the STOP THE BLEED® Project.

STOP THE BLEED® is a national campaign to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. It is a public/private partnership led by the Department of Defense and many other stakeholders, including the Stop the Bleed Coalition.
