Liberal Democrats All you need to know ahead of polling day for the local
elections








There are less than 3 weeks to go until the local elections, John.

On 2nd May, there are elections for councils and mayors in many parts of
England, and Police and Crime Commissioners in both England and Wales.

This will be the last major electoral test before the General Election.

It’s crucial we elect Lib Dems at all levels so people have the caring and
hardworking local representation they deserve. A strong result will also make a
huge difference come the General Election - it will show the country that we’re
winning!

If you’re voting in person, remember you now need to bring a photographic ID

. If you don’t have ID, you need to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate by
5pm on 24 April 2024 or you could be turned away at the polling station.
