Friend,
Earlier this week End Citizens United (ECU) filed a complaint against Ted Cruz alleging that Senator Cruz illegally directed $630,000 from iHeartMedia to a Super PAC that is supporting his Senate campaign. This action breaks federal law since it is illegal to solicit “soft money.”
Ted Cruz’s actions here are just another example of the rampant corruption we see in our government and politicians today. His attempt to skirt federal regulations is wrong, and corrupt politicians like him need to be held accountable. They continue to place their own interests and the interests of their uber-wealthy friends above those of the American people, and we’re all sick of it.
Ted Cruz’s actions with iHeartMedia are both illegal and ethically wrong, but are not surprising given the unprecedented levels of both corruption and money we’re seeing in today’s politics. The Citizens United decision is directly responsible for this influx of money into our elections, and we’ve been suffering because of it for the past 14 years. We’re fighting hard to overturn Citizens United and return power to the people, so please chip in $10 today and join us in the fight.

We already have anti-corruption laws in place, but clearly they’re not enough for people like Senator Cruz. From the Supreme Court to Congress, corruption is everywhere in our politics. The American people are tired of their politicians continuously breaking the law to help themselves and their own interests, and something has to change.
Our Congress and Supreme Court desperately need further anti-corruption reforms so the government will actually work for the people, not for megadonors and special interests. ECU/LAV Action Fund has been working for years to put these reforms in place, but we can’t do it without the support of all of you. So we’re asking again, can you please contribute $10 or whatever you can today and join us in the fight to combat corruption in all its forms.
