Last month, the Supreme Court delayed Trump’s federal, criminal election interference trial by agreeing to hear his dangerous argument that he has absolute immunity as a former president. Later this month, on the very last possible day of the term, the Court will finally hear those arguments.

Even if the Justices ultimately rule against Trump as they should, it could be months before an opinion is issued, meaning the trial will be delayed even longer than it already is.
