Dear John, the unprecedented attack by the Islamic Republic of Iran this weekend, targeting Israel with hundreds of drones, cruise missiles and ballistic weapons is a wholly unjustified act of war, and is further proof of the regime’s long-held and hate-filled desire to eradicate Israel and kill as many Jews as possible.
We are thankful that almost all the aerial threats were intercepted, and grateful to the U.S., the U.K., France, Jordan and others who assisted Israel in countering this attack.
As ADL and our partners in the J-7 (the Large Communities’ Task Force Against Antisemitism) stated today:
We strongly support Israel in its efforts to defend itself against continued threats to its sovereignty posed by the Iranian regime and its terrorist proxies, including Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and others.
ADL has been vigilantly monitoring this crisis and its impact, and we have seen the ripples of the Iranian regime’s attack spreading to the United States and around the globe. We saw it after Hamas's 10/7 massacre and we're seeing it now: anti-Zionists rejoice, glorifying and justifying violence against Israel and its citizens. The ADL Center on Extremism has put out an initial analysis today:
Anti-Israel Activists Support Iran Attack on Israel.
As the situation develops, ADL will provide updated information. We encourage you to check ADL.org and our social media channels (Facebook,
Instagram, X) for the latest analysis and alerts from our experts.
Thank you for being part of the unified ADL community in times of crisis, and for combatting antisemitism and Fighting Hate for Good with us.
Sincerely, |
