Sounding the Alarm on the SEC's Disastrous Climate Rule
This week, I led the House Financial Services Committee in a hearing on the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) disastrous climate risk disclosure final rule. This fatally flawed rule, which exceeds the agency’s authority, threatens our economy, and overwhelms investors with non-economic information.
The Securities and Exchange Commission is not a climate regulator. The SEC is overstepping its jurisdiction to force far-left climate policy through financial regulation.
This rule is not in the best interest of job creators, workers, and American families.
