This year, Blue Dogs are proud to endorse Lanon Baccam — a combat veteran, public servant, and son of Iowa — to represent Iowa’s 3rd Congressional district.
Lanon has an important election coming up in 50 days and he’s counting on our help to win this competitive race against Republican extremist Zach Nunn.
Lanon was born to parents who immigrated from Laos in 1980. He enlisted in the National Guard at the age of 17. In the wake of 9/11, he left community college and was deployed to Afghanistan as a combat engineer, focusing on explosive demolitions and force projection.
He later served in the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he helped implement historic bipartisan investments like expanding access to high-speed internet throughout rural America.
Lanon has the experience to defeat extremist Zach Nunn and serve Iowa’s 3rd district well, but he’s counting on our support to win on June 4th.
