Dear John:
The United States is encountering one of the most severe economic and health catastrophes not seen in over 100 years. The Coronavirus crisis has profoundly impacted every single American’s life: from our vulnerable children’s parents to our heroic health care workers and those on the frontlines.
That is why under my leadership, House Democrats have passed three major pieces of legislation – taking bold action to put Families First and fighting for their health, their wages and their well-being:

The Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act
As leaders, we have no higher priority than addressing the necessities of those who require it most – especially amidst a global pandemic. To that account, I also announced sweeping actions to ensure that the needs of families will be resolved wisely and effectively.
We still, however, have much more to accomplish For The People who face economic uncertainty after suddenly being out of work – and for those whose health care remains at risk due to the Republican Administration’s astounding refusal to drop their reckless lawsuit that seeks to obliterate the Affordable Care Act as you read.
This fight is one I cannot win alone.
John, the greatness of our nation is its ability to rise to extraordinary challenges, no matter how big. Now is such a time. As Pope Francis eloquently said:
“Enlighten those responsible for the common good, so that they might know…how to care for those entrusted to their responsibility.”
Democrats Take Responsibility – and with your help, we will take back the White House, take back the Senate and expand our House Democratic Majority that is delivering on its promises.
