NY-21 Experiences Total Solar Eclipse

This week, Elise joined NYS Senator Dan Stec and thousands of NY-21 residents to view the solar eclipse in Tupper Lake, New York! Tupper Lake in Franklin County was in the path of totality, and the eclipse lasted for over three minutes. The Adirondack Sky Center in Tupper Lake has been preparing for this rare and historic eclipse for years and Elise was incredibly proud to join this historic event! Elise stated –

“A total Solar Eclipse happens over the same place on Earth about once every 400 years! As people come from all over to visit Upstate NY and the North Country to witness this rare event, we are grateful for the local small businesses, law enforcement, and local officials in NY-21 who are providing top-notch safety and hospitality to our guests!”

Elise Delivers Real Results for NY-21!

Elise delivered major wins for Upstate New York and the North Country’s skill-based workforce, including our service members with nontraditional experiences and backgrounds who are often overlooked for not pursuing a four-year degree.

The essential workforce development package included two of Elise’s bills, the Validate Prior Learning to Accelerate Employment Act and the Employer-Directed Skills Act, and passed the House on Tuesday. These bills more effectively identify and validate workers’ existing skills and empower job creators to determine the skills their workforce needs, respectively.

Elise Opposes Biden WIC Milk Restrictions

This week, Elise made a statement about the Biden administration’s WIC restrictions on nutritious milk products. The new rules remove or reduce monthly allowances for juice and cut back on allowances for milk. Elise said –

“Joe Biden’s WIC restrictions will cause significant negative effects on the health of babies, mothers, and families participating in WIC to access nutritious milk products. Families are already struggling with skyrocketing prices due to Bidenflation and the Biden Administration’s new rule would limit their access to the healthy milk products our dairy farmers in Upstate New York and the North Country work hard to provide to our communities. I will continue to work to ensure our new mothers and developing children have access to nutrient rich milk.”

Elise Condemns Harvard’s Failure to Address Antisemitism

This week, Elise penned a scathing letter to the leaders of Harvard University, criticizing them for not promptly investigating an assault on a Jewish student, which might result in the assailant graduating before facing consequences. Elise also condemned Harvard for what she sees as a failure to address antisemitism and protect Jewish students and faculty, suggesting that such negligence reflects poorly on the university's leadership and tarnishes its reputation. Elise said:

"One of the assailants in the incident, a Harvard Divinity School graduate student, is scheduled to graduate in May 2024. Due to this postponement, the assailant will gain the lifelong distinction of being an alumnus of Harvard despite having committed a well-documented antisemitic hate crime against a fellow student.

"This recent case of Harvard protecting those who hate Jews is disgusting. As an alumna of Harvard University, allowing this student to gain the title of Harvard graduate disgraces all who have come before him and erodes the distinction of a once sought after degree. At a time when support and applications for Harvard have fallen, university leadership has continuously chosen to side with those who hate Jewish students and faculty and failed to keep them safe."

Elise Starts GOP Convention Countdown: 🚨100 Days🚨

This week, Elise started the convention countdown! Tuesday marked 100 days left until the GOP convention in Milwaukee, WI where Republicans across the country will rally behind President Trump and his America First policies. With your help, we will fire Joe Biden and Make America Great Again!

Elise Puts Biden’s Pro-Crime Agenda on Blast

On Monday, Elise called out Joe Biden and the Far Left’s radical pro-crime agenda that has led to a major increase in attacks on police officers nationally. Elise said –

“The Radical Left’s extreme, pro-criminal agenda has put a target on the backs of police officers. Over the past 14 months, there has been a 20% rise in assaults on police and a 72% rise in officer stabbings. I will ALWAYS stand with the brave men and women in blue who continue to risk their lives to keep New Yorkers safe, despite Far Left efforts to undermine them.”

ENDORSEMENT ALERT: Elise Endorses Mike LiPetri for NY-03

This week, Elise endorsed Mike LiPetri, who is running in New York’s 3rd district, against Far Left Democrat Tom Suozzi. As a state legislator, Mike was a staunch supporter of law enforcement, supported ICE in their efforts to go after criminals here illegally, and was the leading voice against the left’s pro-crime agenda.
