“Observe how the wildflowers of the field grow: They don’t labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these. If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t he do much more for you—you of little faith?”

Matthew 6:28-30
The transition from winter to spring brings a feeling of new life. Sunshine and blooming flowers bring a little more light into our lives that might have felt tucked away over the dark winter months. When I look at the trees and fields that just weeks ago were dry and brown and now hold an array of color and abundance, I think of this verse. Each flower, each tree leaf, and each blade of grass were all created by God. He created every one of them and His hand was in their every placement and growth. If He does this for the vapor of life that a blade of grass holds, how much more will He do to care for us, His children? Immeasurably more!

Let the new life this spring be a reminder to you of the Father’s indescribable love for us, and rest in the fact that everything you need, He has.
