John, this pesticide could be the next glyphosate — and it’s
being sprayed heavily on wheat and oat crops across Europe and Canada,
with no restrictions ... and little attention.

It's called chlormequat, and the pesticide lobby is pushing hard to get
this poison into widespread use globally. Its sales are expected to boom
over the next five years, unless we stop it.

No one really knows its full impact on the human body, but studies show
chlormequat is harmful to animals and stays in the environment for a very
long time. And right now lawmakers are only seeing corporate-funded
science that claims it’s ‘safe’ ...

But we have access to independent researchers in Europe, Canada and
Australia who could study the risks and exposure levels of this poison —
and if every Ekō member like you donates even just $1, we
could fund this research, publish it, then mobilise a fight for a ban.

With all of us coming together, we can stop the next glyphosate before
it’s everywhere — can you chip in to help?

Here’s what we do know: even very low exposure to chlormequat causes
potential reproductive harm and other serious health issues in animals.
It’s also very persistent in the environment, and it can be found even
where it isn't being sprayed.

Chlormequat isn't approved for use on foods grown in the US, but because
of imported wheat used in breakfast foods like Cheerios to Quaker Oats,
it's been found in the blood of four out of five people who've been
recently tested there.

But there's so much more research and investigation needed to understand
and expose the extent of chlormequat’s presence in everyday products we
consume and its impact on our health.

This is the first step to stopping this pesticide before it becomes the
next glyphosate, saturating our fields and making us sick.

Thankfully, we have a savvy team of researchers ready to do just that
— all we need now is your help to get started right away. Can we count on
you to chip in?
