Hi friend, what would you guess is one of the most effective ways to inspire people to get involved in environmental advocacy?

It’s when a friend or family member reaches out and invites them to join in by tagging along to an event, personally sharing a petition, showing them how to call their elected officials, or more.

Reaching out to the people YOU know is one of the most impactful things you can do this Earth Month to protect our environment.

We’re up against a lot. Big polluters and the politicians supporting them are fighting tooth and nail to grow their profits at the expense of our future. But when we build the movement, we build the people power it takes to fight back and defeat them.

This Earth Day, will you invite someone you care about to get involved?

Together, we've already accomplished so much, including:

✊ Pushing the Biden administration to halt the expansion of dangerous liquified natural gas (LNG) exports.
🏞️ Protecting national parks and public lands like the Grand Canyon and the Arctic Refuge.
🥾 Inspiring thousands of people to connect with nature by hosting local outings and increasing equitable access to the outdoors.
☀️ Passing the largest-ever climate legislation, the Inflation Reduction Act, to bring clean energy and good jobs to our communities.

The majority of people in the U.S. support more climate action. Over two-thirds of people nationwide want our government to do more about climate change, but only a tiny percentage act to make it happen.1,2 You are one of those people making a difference. A better world with safe communities, clean air and water, a stable climate, more family-sustaining jobs, and a direct and accessible connection is possible if enough of us demand it.

How do we get more people involved? Ask them! Inviting your friends and family members to join is one of the best ways to motivate someone to protect our future. And besides, people like being invited to things!
