Patriot,

The Spy State came out in full force yesterday.

After you and thousands and thousands of other patriots shut down
the House Rule for Section 702 renewal on Wednesday, Speaker Mike
Johnson (R-LA) started arm twisting.

Johnson and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner
(R-OH) rushed a slightly revised "reform" bill before the Rules
Committee Thursday night and then to the House floor early Friday
morning.

The carrot for those members who value liberty was allowing a
vote on a warrant requirement amendment, which would force the
FBI to get a warrant before surveilling a U.S. citizen.

Turner and his Spy State apologists took the stance that "if you
have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to fear." They
completely ignore the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The vote on the warrant amendment was on the cusp of being passed
until, according to Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) . . .

Mike Johnson stepped in and voted when a House speaker normally
doesn't.

Johnson voted "no," and the amendment failed.

On a tied vote, the House of Representatives rejected the need
for a warrant to spy on you and other innocent Americans.

The House then proceeded to approve an expanded version of
Section 702 of FISA for two more years.

It was a disappointment, especially when we were on the verge of
shutting down this dangerous bill in committee.

The Spy State apologists were disingenuous time and time again.
They essentially claimed the Chinese Communist Party or Hamas
would be moving into every basement in America if the warrant
amendment passed.

Even after years of being lied to by the Deep State on every
issue under the sun . . . many members of Congress believed the
lies and voted to expand and pass FISA renewal.

The silver lining is the renewal is only good for two years,
instead of five, which gives us time to prepare for that battle.

But now we are gearing up for the next fight, in the Senate,
where they must pass the renewal next week, before Section 702
expires.

We will fight this dangerous bill every step of the way.

You and I gave pause to many representatives, and we won't give
up now!

In an election year, more and more incumbents are more careful
with their votes.

So now we take on the Senate!

And we must resolve to fight harder than ever.

Start by signing your petition to your U.S. Senators, demanding
they STOP warrantless surveillance of Americans under FISA and
follow the Constitution.

Because only when they feel the heat will they see the light.

For liberty,

Campaign for Liberty

P.S. It was not the outcome we wanted, but you and I made many in
the halls of Congress nervous because they KNOW patriots like you
- and thousands and thousands of other Campaign for Liberty
supporters - are watching.

Now we take on the Senate, and we push them to follow the
Constitution.

Sign your petition to your U.S. Senators now, demanding they
reject the House bill and restore citizens' Fourth Amendment
rights.
