Dear John,
It is now undeniable that the goal of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign for president is to siphon off votes from Biden and ensure a Trump victory.
A senior official for the RFK Jr. campaign was just caught on tape admitting that her “number one priority” is to “get rid of Biden” and that if Republicans in New York want Trump to win, they should “collect signatures for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.” and “Vote RFK Jr. for President!!”
That’s not all. Follow the money behind Kennedy Jr.’s campaign, and you’ll find Trump megadonors like Timothy Mellon, who has given $20 million to the RFK Jr. super PAC. Meanwhile, Kennedy Jr.’s attacks on Biden are mounting, including a ridiculous recent attack claiming that Biden is a greater threat to democracy than Trump.
But the real danger is that just 44,000 votes in three states out of 159 million nationwide made the difference in 2020 — so any anti-Trump votes RFK Jr. pulls away from Biden tip the election to Trump.
Inequality Media Civic Action is running our biggest election education campaign ever, using our huge following on TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and other social media platforms to warn voters that RFK Jr.’s campaign is nothing but a scam to help Trump. Will you chip in $5?
Yes, I’ll donate $5 to help warn the public, get the truth out, and stop RFK Jr.’s attempt to return Donald Trump to the White House.
I worked in Bobby Kennedy’s Senate office in 1967. I watched him stand up for economic and social justice. I witnessed him bringing together people of every race and ethnicity — to demand equal rights and an end to the Vietnam War.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is no Robert F. Kennedy Sr.
Robert F. Kennedy Sr. would never have suggested that a deadly virus was targeted at certain races. He wouldn’t have repeated the trope, dating to at least the Middle Ages, that Jews unleashed a plague on non-Jews.
And he certainly would not plot to increase the odds that a person like Donald Trump would get another term in the White House.
But the Kennedy brand is political gold, and it could pull away just enough unwitting voters to tip the race to Trump.
That the good name of the Robert F. Kennedy I worked for 57 years ago is being used to increase the risk of a Trump victory is shameful. Unfortunately, it falls to us to spread the word and make sure voters know the truth: RFK Jr.'s campaign is a Republican-funded scam to help Trump.
Over the last several years, we’ve built up over 8 million followers on social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube, which have become the absolute best way to reach young people and voters who aren’t following the news closely. These are exactly the kinds of people RFK Jr. is targeting to vote for him, and we’re getting out the truth to stop him.
Will you donate $5 to help educate and warn the public and stop RFK Jr.’s attempt to return Donald Trump to the White House?
Thank you for helping us get the truth out in this critical election year,
Robert Reich
