Dear John,
Today, 1 in 36 children in the U.S. (1 in 22 in California) is diagnosed with autism.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has “taken action” by promoting April as “Autism Acceptance Month” from “Autism Awareness Month.”
But “acceptance” means different things to different people. For us, the term is, in fact, unacceptable.
CHD “accepts” and supports all efforts to improve the lives of children and families affected by autism. We accept individual differences.
But we don’t “accept” the refusal by our taxpayer-funded public health agencies to investigate the real causes behind this tragic epidemic.
We “accept” wholeheartedly that, for us and so many others, there is no turning back.
This organization was founded by a group of concerned parents. Even today, many of our employees are parents of young and adult children with neurological and developmental disorders, children who represent the full “spectrum” of the effects of autism.
What is causing the epidemic?
As CHD’s Chairman on leave, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says, “Our children are living in a toxic soup.”
With more toxic chemicals in our environment than ever before, along with the burgeoning childhood immunization schedule, we believe that these toxic exposures are fueling the rise in autism.
CHD is leading the fight for justice for all children and young adults injured by vaccines and environmental toxins. We want the truth. We want justice. That’s why we’ve just filed a motion in court about the government’s cover-up of the vaccine-autism causal connection.
Please help us continue the fight by making a donation today. And remember, your donation goes even further during our Million Dollar Match campaign. Give what you can. Every dollar makes a difference.
