Friend,
Exactly, one year ago today, President Biden announced he would lift Affordable
Care Act (ACA) restrictions and expand Medicaid eligibility for DACA recipients, paving the way for people with DACA to access the ACA marketplace for the first
time.
As a DACA recipient, I remember feeling deep gratitude for this long-awaited
announcement. Yet, 365 days later, the Biden administration has yet to finalize the policy,
which means DACA recipients are still blocked from accessing quality, affordable
healthcare.
For far too long, DACA recipients like me have been unjustly excluded from
accessing healthcare options offered through the federal government – services
that our tax dollars contribute to and that we never should have been denied
access to in the first place.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you today for your support. We are calling on
President Biden to honor his commitment to DACA recipients by expanding
healthcare eligibility immediately. Friend, will you join
us by signing our petition urging President Biden to finally act?

[[link removed]]Access to healthcare shouldn’t be a privilege reserved for a select few — it
should be a fundamental right for all, regardless of our immigration status. By
denying DACA recipients access to the ACA marketplace, the administration is
jeopardizing the health and well-being of members of our communities nationwide.
Thank you for taking action with us,
