Hi friends,

You all know that when we send emails like this they go to thousands of people. But when I sent this one, I had to stop and think.

These words would be going out to Iowans who could be sick -- or know someone who is.

These words will be read by doctors, nurses, farmers, grocers, police officers, and so many other Americans risking their personal safety to keep us all fed, healthy, and safe.

And I want to thank these brave women and men from the bottom of my heart. Their task is one that we have not seen in our lifetime, but they’re responding as only Americans can -- with strength, with passion, and with the need to do the most good for the most people.

This pandemic is a challenge to us all -- It will be a tough fight, but Iowans are tough, and together we will win.

We’re all in this fight together, even though we can’t spend time with each other in person. Hearing the stories of each and every person doing their part to help our community, stop the spread, and flatten the curve have strengthened my resolve to stay in this battle.

I want to help share that inspiration with each and every person on my team.
