Dear John, In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current shelter in place, NPH’s 24th Annual Leadership Awards will be postponed until fall. While we won’t be coming together as a community in person, our 2020 theme — Our Movement, Our Moment — is more important now than ever. As a united movement, it is our moment to stay vigilant and ensure decades of affordable housing justice work isn’t lost. We can demand our government do everything possible to protect everyone’s health by rapidly housing people in the short run, and budgeting for their housing in the long run — no exceptions. After our hard work together is done and we emerge stronger as a community, we can plan for the connection and celebration we'll enjoy together. We are working to develop a new, exciting event for the fall where we'll celebrate our 2020 honorees and those who prevail through this historical moment to ensure all our black, white, brown, and Asian neighbors have safe and stable homes, not just for today but for tomorrow.
