Hunger impacts everything, John. 

It delayed 11-year-old Marque’s* development, causing his body to swell and his brain to fog over. His family is one of millions who’ve been displaced by conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo. 

After four back-to-back bouts of severe malnutrition, Marque’s hair and skin even began to change color. Relentless bullying forced him to drop out of school – but he still dreams of becoming a doctor.
