First, I just want to extend my thanks to all of you who stepped up to donate last month towards our first end-of-quarter goal of 2020. With everything that’s happening right now -- believe me when I say your support has never meant more.

Second, I want to make sure you’ve heard some exciting news happening here in North Texas to fight COVID-19:

Today we achieved a huge milestone in our work to expand health care access to our veteran community. Our team has been working closely with the folks at Baylor Scott & White and the Department of Veterans Affairs, and now we’re excited to announce we’ve reached an agreement for Baylor Scott & White to donate their previously vacant Garland Hospital to the North Texas VA Health System.

This new hospital will provide 100 new beds to fight coronavirus and transition to becoming a full VA facility in the future that will create jobs and serve those in North Texas who have served us.

I made bringing a new VA hospital to North Texas a main mission for my first term as your new Congressman -- and today I’m thrilled that with the help of our amazing community leaders -- we were able to get this done.
