SPRING Appeal - 5 Days Remaining

Dear
SPUC supporter,
Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated to our Spring Appeal these past nine days.

As of 10 am, an amazing £
21,203 has been raised.

That’s against a fundraising TARGET of £100,000.

We have just FIVE days left to raise a further £78,797.

Will you help get us there?

There were 123,219 abortions carried out between January and June 2022, up from 105,488 over the same period in 2021. (Latest available figures)

Meanwhile, Britain’s biggest abortion provider, BPAS, is profiting from the 17% rise.

BPAS chief executive Clare Murphy blames the increase in the killings on the rising cost of living.

But she does NOT think that’s a bad thing.

Rather than calling for families to be supported through these financially difficult times, she suggests we just accept small family sizes as the norm.

"We are potentially looking at very significant changes in childbearing and family size in the years to come, particularly as women choose to start their families later, limit their family size or simply decide they do not wish, or cannot afford, to have children,” she said.

In fact, Murphy is urging the Government to do more to “ensure that women are able to make the decisions that are right for themselves and for their families”.

What she means by that, of course, is that BPAS wants more government action to keep abortion numbers high.

Should Parliament pass Diana Johnson MP’s abortion decriminalisation amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill, BPAS would get their wish.

In addition - Stella Creasy MP has tabled yet another amendment, which takes that of Diana Johnson even further, Stella Creasy stated "No watering-down, no red tape: it's time to fully decriminalize abortion in England and Wales".

Last month SPUC staged a demonstration outside Westminster, making it clear to MPs that the killing of MORE babies – including up to BIRTH - is unacceptable.
As the clock ticks, it is vital that we raise the alarm and encourage constituents to lobby their MPs

We are doing this by:

1. Advertising

Ads are being placed in a host of targeted newspapers, magazines, radio stations and popular social media platforms

Estimated cost: £38,000

2. Church support

We are urgently writing to Catholic parish priests and asking them to urge their parishioners to contact their MPs and ask them to oppose the Johnson Amendment.

Will you give £15 or £20 or £50 or £100 or £500 or £1,00 or more TODAY to support SPUC’s campaign to STOP abortion decriminalisation?

Thank you for your vital support.

Yours in Defence of Life
John Deighan
Chief Executive
